Unfortunate news

So unfortunately my keyboard has stopped working properly and as such I have to send it away to get fixed!!  I know awesome right! So right now I am typing on an on screen keyboard and am having plenty of problems, as such I will be off line for a while! I have scheduled some posts so you will have things to check out!!  Hope to be back soon!!

Dream House ~ Exterior

So I decided to make a dream house Friday! I know something scheduled and not random!  I know you are all very excited! So I posted last Friday about home layouts and plans and this week will be on exterior treatments! Now each home plan comes with a plan for the exterior as well and sometimes the floor plan is amazing but the exterior sucks! Been there many times! But I don't fret because if you are building your own home you can change the exterior! Hello custom!!

Now this can be extravagant or simple changes you can go simple by changing the stone exterior or adding dormers! So here are some exterior treatments and styles I love!!

Now if you checked out my previous post you could see I like more of a craftsman, Nantucket, Victorian, lodgey feel!

This is my most recent obsession! It is a fishing resort but I think it would be an amazing entrance!

This is a ranch style with a craftsman vibe! This is from The House of Smith's Which is an amazing blog and you should stop on by!

I love the look of solid wood garage doors! Not to mention the stone!

Although I am not a huge fan of cities or apartments I love the brick and round windows!!

I like the look of all the stone as well as the columns!

Here is another Nantucket style! Although I love the style it is very dark!

Here is a beachy Nantucket style! So calming looking!

Love the feel of this entrance!! So Homey!

Wow this yea has flown by! Even this semester is going fast! Just wanted to wish you all a blessed mabon and a Happy first day of fall! Time for sweaters and scarfs! YAY!

Dream House ~ House plan

So this will defiantly meed to be in multiple posts!  Way to many ideas and wish list items! So let us start with the floor plan, where else would you start right.  Now I have many house plans that I have fallen in LOVE with!! So I will show you the top 4 and leave it at that! Because I have over 30 plans that I like!

First off we have the practical magic house!  I posted on the house here.  Beautiful house with a great layout!









Okay so I know the photos are blurry but click on the photos and it will take you to the Amas Veritas site and you can check them out there!  I have re-drawn the plans to make the more "livable" because it was designed as a movie set! So it lacks things like bathrooms, laundry room and a good deal of function!


The second house I would like to show you is called Chatham house! I love this one, its like an old school carriage house with a cape cod feel that is made for a large family with killer money! I Love the game room and the separate little office space that would make a killer craft room! But it is majorly huge, and I think I might feel a little lonely there!  But I do love all the stairs!

I don't really like the look of the rear! Makes it look like an entirely different house!

Now these next two are amazing on their own but I would love them combined!

First (well thirdly) the Cordelia! I love the exterior and am considering this my next home!! It is really amazing but I would need a fabulous location to build this house with few neighbors!!

Love the giant pantry you can use each of the "nooks" to store different things! The first one for food, second appliances, and third for tablescapes and dish stuff! The kitchen needs a double island and the master suite needs to be redesigned!

I think I would place the billiards room in the recreation are and turn the "billiards" room into a dance studio! ;D

This entire section I think would be used for holiday storage and a craft room! Can you imagine the possibilities!!

Lastly is the Hendrick house plan! This one is nice but it seems small and I am not a huge fan of the rancher style! Although I do love the beam work and the master! I LOVE the master and want it in the Cordelia pictured above!!

I love the master and 3 season porch! A must for every house!!  The weird second master is strange I think so I would turn that into a dance studio and rearrange the master bath!

I love the master bath from this angle! and those amazing rafters!! Swoon!!

I know all you can hear is custom and cha-ching! I know don't judge me!!

You should see the things I want to decorate with! cha-ching!!   So there you go my top 4 house plans!

funny kitties

So my friend crochet this cute little bow and she didn't know what to do with it! So I got it and well I put it on my cat with his pretty new collar!! I have also included photos of my cats in their cute new "coats"!

Enjoy the smiles and laughs at the expence of my cats!! :D

Arnt they so cute!! Also we will soon have some new additions to our family!! Here our are new babies!! they are around 3 weeks old in this picture!!

command center!!

so a while ago I saw this amazing command center on pinterest!



I liked the overall feel of it and liked the chalkboard but felt the need to change it so I made This:

I defiantly recommend that I you want to make this LABEL EVERYTHING!! and follow her steps!!  Because it took me and my fabulous little brother FOUR excruciating  fun hours to put this together! It was a combination of miss cuts, salvaged wood, and tools that didn't work!!  turned out great but could have been much easier and faster!!  So I will show you a picture tutorial of what we did! I wont add in commentary because her instructions are much better and mine would be mostly things not to do!!

** a disclaimer! Please use new wood or wood of the proper measurements!! I have no affiliation with any tools featured these are simply tools my dad and grandfather had in their tool shed!

I used ceder fence panels for this because that is what I had on hand at the time and it was free!! other free items included: Brad nails and tools, ribbon, and loving support of little brother to use power tools!! (I am a power tool killer!! :( )
This I bout include: Cork board(enough to do 3 but I doubled mine up to make it deeper!), hard board because I could not find out door skin!, hangers and hinges! In total I spent about $60 at Rona!
